Evaluations

The 2025 season evaluations for U13A & B, U15A & B, and U17AW are complete!

• Evaluations occurred January 20-23, 2025 at the Dome. 

The remaining evaluations for U9 Comp and U11 teams will occur April 5th & 6th at the Collicut. You must register for evaluations if you want an opportunity to play on one of our competitive teams. These evaluations are optional. Those players who do not evaluate, will be placed on one of our REC teams. 

To register for evaluations please use the link provided and there is a $55 tryout fee to cover the rental costs http://rdsoftball.rampregistrations.com/. Deadline to register for evaluations is Sunday March 23rd.

As we prepare for the upcoming evaluations, here are a few things to keep in mind as we approach the date.  

• All evaluations will take place at the Collicutt center field house. No cleats. Athletes should wear running shoes, athletic clothing and bring a water bottle.
• Groups of 15-20 athletes will be made once evaluation registration closes. Each group will require 90 min to go through the evaluation process. These evaluation groups and times will be sent out no later than one week prior to evaluations. The first group will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday.
• Athletes will be evaluated on fielding, throwing, catching, batting, bunting, and running. The best score between Saturday and Sundays evaluation will count towards team selection.
• Players evaluating for pitcher or catcher will be evaluated separately. Catchers are encouraged to have their own gear. Rage will have some catcher gear available but cannot guarantee sizes.
• Players evaluating for pitching will have to bring their own catcher for warm up.

There are no evaluations for our U9 Grassroots program. Any additional registrations for all age groups that did not attend evaluations will be placed on one of our C or D teams depending on numbers.
